What is Reiki?
Reiki is pronounced “Ray Key”, REI mean Universal, KI (Chi) means Life Force Energy. Hence, Reiki can be defined as Universal Life Force Energy.

Reiki is an enlightenment system and healing art. Reiki is very easy to learn and easy to use and anyone can do it. Reiki healing is a process of being connected to the Reiki Energy through an attunement. Healing is done either hands on or by distance work.

Reiki work by simple laying of hands and intent. It helps bring us back into harmony with the Universal Life Force Energy. This is often healing.

In Reiki you do not use your own energy, but let this loving Universal Life Energy flow through you to others. People who do Reiki are called “channels” meaning that we are in tune with this Universal Life Energy and let it flow.

Reiki is balance. It works on all levels: the physical, spiritual, emotional and mental levels. Reiki energizes and heals the body. Reiki speeds up wound healing time, lowers blood pressure, reduces stress and has cured serious illnesses.

Reiki is not a religion. It has been used by practitioners of Christianity, Buddhism, Hinduism and Islam. It is a spiritual practice that complements any faith as a hands on healing practice.

Reiki is the greatest fight you can give to yourself and share with others. Reiki is all about love, balance and empowerment. Once you have been initiated you are empowered for life to channel healing to yourself and others. It is a matter of your own will. Reiki is a priceless gift that, if you choose to use it, will help you achieve balance, empowerment and happiness.

There are various types of energy but only two kinds – Negative and Positive Energy. It is the transmission and reception of negative energies that causes imbalance and the introduction of positive energy that cause healing and well-being and therefore balance.

Reiki – the universal life force energy, the all encompassing and unconditional energy of love can therefore transmute any kind of negative energy in the human field and restore balance, good health and happiness.
